Tharani Anpalagan completed her undergraduate medical education at McMaster University and is a first-year Internal Medicine resident at the University of Toronto. She has always had a keen interest in Women’s Cardiovascular health which she developed through various research projects and health education initiatives during her medical training. Specifically, she has been involved in projects focused on perioperative cardiovascular outcomes in women, creating patient-centric health education videos about women’s health topics and advocating for health equity through her medical school’s global health committee. Tharani learned about CWHHA initiatives when presenting at the 2023 Women’s Heart Health Summit and is keen to contribute to this organization's advocacy efforts for Women’s Cardiovascular Health.
